Kelly impressed in the opening three rounds as he boxed well and frustrated his opponent.
However, during this time Avanesyan banked a significant number of body shots which would take their toll not long later.

The tide started to turn from the fourth round onwards as Avanesyan started landing more frequently.
Kelly struggled to deal with the European championâs aggressive pressure in round five and it all got too much for him in round six.

Immediately afterwards, Avanesyan landed a series of hooks and uppercuts which badly hurt Kelly and put him on unsteady legs.
